A taste of Keffer-fest….

Music:  I love this song!  It makes me laugh.  Mar and I used to dance to it all the time in the kitchen 🙂  Perfect for today’s post.

I’m sure most people wandering on by might wonder exactly what’s going on at the small country home of my dear Aunt and Uncles (Assuming they haven’t been invited, because we’re rather known for inviting friends far and wide to come on in and join the chaos!)…  They’re usually such a quiet family.  But once a year, just about anything can go on…  And often does.  This year was prime example of the madness.

We had a staggering 14 children, ages 12 and under all out playing in the beautiful weather.  Cousins gathered from far and wide to catch up and enjoy.  The theme of this year’s party was pie – No, that wasn’t planned, we just all seemed to think we needed pie!  And the food was plentiful and delicious.  A great time was had by all, with much thanks to our ever gracious hosts who are just wonderful through and through (Must be the Walker-Nickle influence!)

And to share with all of you today – A taste of Kefferfest.  Pictures of what left my kitchen before it was saran-wrapped up and packed…  I didn’t manage to get any of the crisp, cookies or chocolate dipped marshmallows in here (Much to my eldest daughter’s dismay, I’m sure) but none the less, I actually managed to find the time to take these photos, which is better than nothing at all – Maybe next year I’ll manage to pick up my camera the day of!

I don’t know what’s wrong with that cornbread picture there, it’s just not cooperating and sitting the right away.  Anyhow…  I have a household waiting for make-your-own-pizza night and I’m behind on my e-mails, so if you haven’t heard from me and you were expecting to, I’ll be in touch shortly barring some other distraction!
