Well.  It’s been one of those days.

First off, everyone has the flu.  Yuck.

Secondly, nothing has gone as planned, everything is in chaos and upheaval, and the NOTES ARE BEING NAUGHTY.  Apparently several of them have disappeared – My ow fault for delaying the upgrade probably.  Mar is fixing things, he’ll crack down on the bad notes.

Soooo…  We’re going to upgrade the system then rip it all apart and beat it into compliance.  Take that Skynet!

We’ve finally fixed a few of the menu errors that kept popping up – You’d only see them if you used Internet Explorer, because I’m a Chrome girl, I didn’t even know we HAD issues for a while. Now they’re fixed.  And the menu is complete across the entire site… But there is some sort of ‘bullet’ issue on the site map.  Someone will get to that, tomorrow likely.

As for our O’Neills…  Well, we’re working on Owen’s line still.  This very interesting record had us scratching our heads – It took Mum to sort it all out.

Apparently Mary Patten was Protestant, and although her and Owen had 9 children before 1848, that is the year she was finally able to abjure her former religion and marry Owen in the Catholic Church – I guess we can finally stop searching for a marriage record before 1829!
Definitely a unique circumstance – We’ve never seen anything like this before.

We did manage to track some of Martha O’Neill and Thomas Chapman’s line, and are going back for more…  After the site upgrades.
More soon.
