So I’m going to take a little road trip with my parents.

My birthday is coming up rather quickly. And as a super fun time, my mum and dad decided it would be a good time to take me tromping through old churches, graveyards and in general, Ottawa and Montreal.
I’m soooooo excited 🙂
There’s so much going on right now it’s hard to organize my thoughts. We’re printing maps, making sure everything is working and the gps is good to go.

We’re going to have luck with the McKennas, and therefore the Lequyers as well. Not to mention we’re going to be where most of our families immigrated to and spent a good 200 some odd years marrying and having descendants! Woohoo!
Notre Dame Cote des Neiges… I’m going to go snap happy. I’m going to try and do drive-bys of St. Patricks, St. Michels and St. Agnes… Not to mention Notre Dame. And maybe some of the places Mum grew up, but we’ll see how far we get. I’m going with the mentality that anything we see is something I haven’t seen yet (Or since I was so much younger we’re not even going to go there)… And it will be a good happy healing thing to see the places Gran lived.
Kev has had major progress with getting the Eckert German tree we had translated to english. As soon as we can start adding the new additions and photos, we’ll be on it. With the kids going back to school this coming week it’s looking promising.
We got permission from St. Peter’s in Ottawa to come in and take pictures of the Adam Keffer stained glass window there. We’re looking at doing that on Sunday.
I’m debating taking the scanner. It’s not huge but I hate carrying… But what if I need it? Argh… Decisions.
I’m going to try and blog on the road as much as possible. One of those portable sticks would be nice… I really need a fairy genealogist godmother!
