Our History Collection We added this section as an after thought, when it probably should have been the first thing we did! Our History Collection is a number of pages that reflect the variety of information we've come across during our research. We've come across mountains of books, photos and notes on topics from Hockey to the Indian Wars of early America, and what else should we do with it all but post it up for any one who might have an interest? We should make an early note saying that we plan to add to this section as information becomes available to us through research and the contributions of site visitors. The information found within these pages does not reflect the opinions of the Skeleton Closet Genealogical Society, but rather focuses on portraying an accurate historical impression of the times these events reflect. We have aimed, with great precision, at debunking myths and legends and supporting facts and historical information. Please keep in mind that social values of today's society do not reflect those of all historical periods. Without accurate portrayal of historical societies, we cannot learn from our past errors in order to better ourselves and our world for future generations. We'd also like to note that the purpose of these pages isn't to focus on any conflict that may be represented by the historical information found here in. In other words, we're not arguing about what happened, we're posting up everything we can find about it and letting everyone draw their own conclusions. We will, however call something a full out lie when we find information that should have been published as fiction verses fact on a subject. If you have something you'd like to add or a correction or notation we're missing, please don't hesitate to contact us via e-mail at Jake@SnowStones.com. |
