Modern Birthstone: Diamond

"She who from April dates her years diamonds,
Should wear lest bitter tears for vain repentance flow;

Birth Stone Lore:

Diamonds are a symbol of love and clarity.  They are a stone of protection, as evil is repelled by its natural inner light.  Diamonds can also add power to any other stones they are set into an arrangement with, as they reflect all positive vibrations.

Opal is a magick stone, said to be of bad luck if worn by one who does not carry it as a birth stone.  Black Opals are sacred to the Goddess, and worn by Witches to increase their power in ritual and craft work.  Opals can fade in colour over time, but when fresh they may contain all the colours in a spectrum.  Because of this it is said that Opals contain every gemstone’s powers and abilities.

Clear Quartz adds power to any other stone you might carry with you.  It is an amplifier to all energies universal.  Coloured Quartz can each individually magnify the powers of their specific colour, for example Rose Quartz for love, Smokey Quartz for protection and wisdom.
