The Red Gua
The Red Gua is a representation of your Family's Honour. Here we see
how you are perceived within your community, and what sort of reputation you
hold there.
The Community Barbeque
Do you know your neighbours? Are you friends or barely acquaintances?
Do you wave as you pass, or smile to show them signs of your peaceable nature?
In modern living, most people are afraid of each other, living solely within
their small property and keeping to themselves. You can change this, and become
friendly with your neighbours with even the smallest of efforts. Smile.
Wave. Help out with a cup of sugar if you can... Simple acts of
kindness will not go unnoticed.
Step One:
Organizing a community barbeque can be every easy task, but you should really
have your neighbours involvement so they can help you plant the event.
Choose the place, if you have an open community hall, that is perfect!
Advertise by going door to door with invitations, or post them in a public
forum.
Step Two:
Food and set up/clean up responsibilities should be divided up early on.
Have volunteers for each task. If you're having potluck, the food can be
pretty simple, but if one person is buying the food and another cooking it, make
sure everyone has a schedule that cannot be confused.
Step Three:
Organize and plan your event carefully, but don't get left out on the day!
Make sure you have time to socialize, you taste the fair and to make a
connection with those around you. That's the whole point.
Red Gua Space Improvement Tips:
In your Red Gua, have an item such as a
lamp, a bottle or pot that is red. Place this item where it cannot be
broken. Place it there with intention of protecting your reputation and
upholding your Family Honour. This will encourage positive Chi in your Red
Gua with focused intent.
Red and Gold are hugely positive colours
in the Chinese culture. Tying small ribbons around your home, or using
these colours within the decorating schemes will improve Chi and create
happiness and joy.
